About Dr. Naomi Bauman

Dr. Naomi Bauman is a licensed Child and School Psychologist who brings extensive experience helping children, adolescents, and families overcome a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. She specializes in evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and comprehensive psychoeducational assessments, with particular expertise in treating anxiety, OCD, depression, and behavioral difficulties in young people.

Specialized Training & Certifications

Dr. Bauman has advanced training in parent-centered approaches, recognizing that empowering parents is often key to lasting change. She is a certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) therapist and certified in Kazdin Parent Management Training (KPMT). Additionally, she has specialized training in SPACE treatment, offering families multiple evidence-based options tailored to their unique needs.

Professional Experience

Before establishing the Child Thrive Center, Dr. Bauman spent two years at My OCD Care, where she deepened her expertise in treating OCD and related disorders in children and adolescents. She completed her post-doctoral training in child clinical psychology at Scarsdale Village CBT and served as a School Psychologist for Great Neck Public Schools for two years, giving her valuable insight into how academic and emotional challenges intersect.

Education & Training

Dr. Bauman earned her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) and Master of Science in School-Community Psychology from Hofstra University, and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Yeshiva University. She completed her predoctoral internship at both the Interborough Developmental & Consultation Center in Brooklyn, NY and Great Neck Public Schools, providing her with diverse clinical experience across multiple settings.
